Ons

Ons is a photograph by Nadia Kaabi-Linke of a site-specific intervention in the former Hotel Magara in Gammarth, a northern suburb of Tunis. The tennis court, embedded in a swimming pool, creates an unbalanced field in which one player plays upward while the opponent has an advantage and can play downward. The work is a tribute to Tunisian tennis player Ons Jabeur and recalls the early years of her career when she was still a child training on the tennis courts in hotels and holiday clubs in Tunisia.
