Form, Shadow, Motion: Selections from the Burger Collection, Hong Kong
Group exhibition at The Drawing Center, New York
The Altarpiece is part of the exhibition Form, Shadow, Motion: Selections from the Burger Collection, Hong Kong at The Drawing Center in New York, featuring twenty-nine artists. Curator Olivia Shao has selected about fifty works on paper from the more than 1,000 drawings in the Burger Collection. The exhibition builds a visual essay on shared historical, poetic, and philosophical concerns. Hong Kong and New York serve as twin points of reference, with Eastern thought and Western philosophy as guiding frameworks. The show occupies The Drawing Center's entire gallery space and travels in an expanded format to Asia Society, Hong Kong, in 2027.
Organized by Olivia Shao, Burger Collection & TOY Meets Art Curator. Made possible by The Drawing Center's Exhibition Fund. The catalogue is co-published with Asia Society Hong Kong Center.
